Missions

To Make Him Known

To continue our mission of to making Jesus known, we engage in local, national and statewide missions on a yearly basis. Read below to find out more about our outreach programs.

Local

15 If a brother or sister is poorly clothed and lacking in daily food, 16 and one of you says to them, “Go in peace, be warmed and filled,” without giving them the things needed for the body, what good is that? James 2:14-15 ESV

We believe that we cannot effectively feed someone’s Spirit if they are physically hungry. Heeding the call of James we seek to clothe and feed the needy.

Helping Hands

Helping Hands is a community outreach ministry that provides food for residents of Castro County. We, alongside others, serve Castro County in four ways.

  1. To love our neighbor as ourselves
  2. To provide compassionate assistance through Godly servants
  3. To Share Christ in word and deed
  4. To offer opportunities for personal growth and development

Volunteers are the backbone of this ministry if you are interested Please email Sherry Schaeffer at sherry@tx4.com  or call the church office at 806-647-3115.

Snack Pak 4 Kids

What started out as a couple from Amarillo helping 10 children have meals on the weekend, has grown to providing food for 3,200 children over the state of Texas. Dimmitt is a Snack Pak 4 Kids community and we at FBC strive to support this great program of feeding children every weekend throughout the school year. We hope you join us in our annual SP4K offering and on August 29th to pick corn in Wildorado, Texas

National

Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:19-20 ESV

Bounce

June of 2016 our Youth Ministry went to Dallas, Tx to work with Bounce Missions, a ministry of Texas Baptists, and People Helping People, a service project of the City of Dallas, to repaint and do minor repairs on the outside of peoples homes. We were also used as a doorway for the local church to connect with various homeowners.

International

“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” Acts 1:8 ESV
