Barry Hazel, Minister of Music

our praise team is a group of instrumentalists which includes piano, organ, keyboard, bass guitar, drums, and acoustic guitar who lead each Sunday morning worship service along with the choir.

The adult choir sings during the morning worship services each Sunday, year round and presents Christmas and Easter cantatas every year as well as special music on occasion.

The children’s choir presents two musicals each year, one at Christmas and one during the spring.  This choir includes children from kindergarten thru 6th grade and utilizes youth aged students on occasion as needed.

A typical Service…

is a blend between the cherished and the modern. On any given Sunday we sing a handful of Hymns mixed in with more modern worship that you might hear on Christian Radio.
We have an adult choir and a praise band that follow the lead of our Worship Leader,Brother Barry Hazel.
Along with our corporate worship through song, a typical service also includes a time of reading where the Holy Scripture is read over the congregation by one of our many volunteers and kids church and worship through sermon led by Pastor Jonathan.
We look forward to worshiping alongside you.

We at First Baptist Church Dimmitt, believe the creator God and Father of the Lord Jesus Christ is worthy of worship and praise because He is the only One, true God, (John 14:6) and He is holy and sovereign. (Psalm 99:1-5; Hebrews 1:1-4)
Since God has provided a way for every individual to have salvation (John 3:16; Ephesians 1:3-14, 2:8-9; Romans 10:9-10,13) and forgiveness (Acts 10:43) from sin through the death and resurrection (Matthew 28:1-7) of His Son Jesus Christ, this allows each person access to the throne of the Father and a personal relationship with Him. (Hebrews 4:14-16) Based on this truth, we believe that individual and corporate worship on a regular basis is important to maintaining an effective, vibrant relationship with the Father as well as strengthening and unifying brothers and sisters in Christ.
